FERMAN 74
The massacres carried out by decrees for a thousand years turned into genocide on August 3, 2014, at the hands of ISIS. According to the Yazidis, five thousand Yazidis were killed by the 74th decree. To date, more than 85 mass graves have been identified in Sinjar and its surroundings, only 15 of which have been opened. According to the Office for the Rescue of Yazidis, 6,417 people were abducted during the genocide, and Yazidis were sold in slave markets. Although 3,570 people have been rescued so far, more than 2,000 Yazidis are still waiting to be rescued. Nearly 200,000 Yazidis remaining in camps cannot return to their homeland. The photographs show the migration routes of Yazidis who fled Sinjar as a result of ISIS attacks.
